Blue Raiders falls short to FIU in five on Tuesday

MIAMI, Fla. — The Middle Tennessee volleyball team traveled to Miami, Fla. to take on the FIU Panthers on Tuesday, October 4. The Blue Raiders battled until the end but dropped the match in five.
The Blue Raiders (10-6, 2-3 CUSA) top the FIU Panthers (9-9, 5-0 CUSA) with set scores of 26-24, 25-27, 13-25, 25-18 and 16-18.
Junior Laure Jansen finished the match with a double-double with 16 kills and 16 digs. Senior Taylor Eisert reached the 3,000-career assist mark this match. Eisert becomes the fourth Blue Raider all-time to reach this milestone. She recorded 54 assists, seven digs and four kills. Redshirt senior Kayla Henley achieved 1,000-career kills in the match as well. Graduate student Kaylee Oscarson totaled 11 kills and redshirt senior Dasia Smith tallied 5 blocks.
