Blue Raiders fall in final game of tournament

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Middle Tennessee softball dropped their final game of tournament to Lipscomb, 7-1, in Fort Myers, Florida.
Lipscomb got out to an early three-run lead in the first inning and the Blue Raiders played catch up the rest of the game. It was not until the fifth inning before MTSU plated their first and only run on the board.
Lipscomb swung the bat the best they have all season long totaling 10 hits and seven runs, both season highs for the Bison.
By the Numbers
· Middle Tennessee is off to the best start to a season since 2017.
· Paige Connors gets her first loss of the season and now sits at 4-1.
· Coach Breeden has now beaten three power five schools: Louisville, Iowa, and Boston College.
