Blue Raider women's golf set to compete in Hawaii's Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee women's golf is back in action in paradise this week at Hawaii's Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational. The 11-team tournament will take place at Hokalei Country Club in 'Ewa Beach, Oahu.
Middle Tennessee is coming off an eighth-place finish at Mercer's Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational, where Taylor Edlin finished second individually.
WEATHER FORECAST
The forecast for the tournament shows strong winds and a chance of rain with high temperatures in the upper 70s.
NOTES
"We are very excited about competing in Hawaii and very thankful to be able to come on this trip. The weather should be awesome but windy, and I know everyone is looking forward to the event a we get the chance to play against some different teams."

- Edlin leads the Blue Raiders with 44 birdies on the season.
- Lanie Campbell's nine birdies in Tulsa were a career high and led the team at the Dale McNamara Invitational.
- Middle Tennessee is looking to replace three of its top scorers from the 2021-22 lineup. Edlin's scoring average of 75.9 was the best among players returning for 2022-23.
- Lanie Campbell and Abbie Lee made their collegiate debuts at the USA Intercollegiate.
- The Blue Raiders enter the week at No. 128 in the latest Golfweek Women's Collegiate Team Rankings and are No. 134 according to Golfstat.
