The Blue Raiders scored the first run of the game in the top of the first to get out to an early lead. Ava Tepe drove in Laura Mealer with an RBI single after Mealer's double into right center. The Tigers tried to quickly respond in the bottom of the first with two outs and two runners on-base before being struck out by Gretchen Mead to end the inning.
In the top of the third, Amaya Harris and Shelby Echols had back-to-back hits to allow for a two-run double by Laura Mealer. Ava Tepe then bunted Mealer over to third for Riley Gilmore to get the RBI on a sacrifice fly and increase the lead to 4-0.
Shelby Sargent started off the fourth inning with a lead-off home run, her second of the season. Gretchen Mead started the game with three scoreless innings for MTSU. After the Tigers scored a pair of runs in the fifth with bases loaded and nobody out, MTSU brought in Kamryn Carcich, who held the Tigers scoreless for three innings to give MTSU the 11-2 victory.
