Blue Raider’s battle falls short against Clemson on Friday

CLEMSON, S.C. — The Middle Tennessee volleyball opened the 2023 season against Clemson on Friday, August 25. The Blue Raiders started off the match quick winning set one but the Tigers ultimately came out on top.
The Blue Raiders (0-1, 0-0 CUSA) fell short to the Clemson Tigers (1-0, 0-0 ACC) with set scores 25-18, 27-29, 18-25 and 16-25. MTSU won the first set as the Blue Raiders hit .300.
Sophomore Adri Rhoda had a team-high 14 kills. Junior Laure Jansen finished the match with a double-double tallying 12 kills and 12 digs. Jansen had three services aces as well which gives her exactly 100 career service aces. Graduate student Kaylee Oscarson finished with 12 kills on .455 and five blocks. Senior Taylor Eisert tallied 43 assists.
