Blue Raiders fall short in five sets against New Mexico State on Saturday

LAS CRUCES, N.M. — The Middle Tennessee volleyball team battled against New Mexico State on Saturday. The Blue Raiders won sets one and four but ultimately the Aggies would come out on top.
The Blue Raiders (8-5, 0-2 CUSA) dropped the match against the New Mexico State Aggies (9-4, 2-0 CUSA) with set scores of 25-15, 20-25, 25-27, 25-22 and 16-18.
Graduate student Kaylee Oscarson tallied 12 kills on a hitting percentage of .550 and had seven blocks. Redshirt senior Kayla Henley led the team in kills earning 16. Henley added three service aces, three digs and three blocks. Senior Taylor Eisert only needed 30 assists before the match to break the program record for career assists in the 25-point era and she finished the match with 40.
