MTSU Cross Country to Wrap Up Regular Season in Texas

COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS - Middle Tennessee cross country looks to close out the regular season in the Arturo Barrios Classic hosted by Texas A&M on Friday, October 18.
There will be 40 teams participating along with 800 individuals in these races. Many power conference teams such as Arizona State, Baylor, Colorado, Georgia Tech, Houston, Oklahoma, SMU, Texas A&M, TCU and Texas Tech will be competing. Conference USA foes Sam Houston and New Mexico State will also attend the meet.
The men that will be competing are Brian Kiptoo, Allan Kiplagat, Jacinto Gaspar, Vincent Yegon, Carmelo Cannizzaro, Sammy Sang, Brendan Nagle, and Quinn Deguira. This will be Vincent Yegon's second race of the year after his fourth place finish in Conference USA Championship last season.
On the women's side, Privillege Chikara, Odilia Jepchumba, Sandra Maiyo, Eleanor Towe, Hailee Gorham, Lauren Cole, Emma Thomas, Agnes Chepkurui will run for MTSU. This will be Chikara's first race as a Blue Raider and the first race of the season for the ninth place finisher in last year's Conference USA Championship, Agnes Chepkurui.
The men will race first at 8:30 a.m. and the women follow up at 9:15 a.m. The forecast indicates it will be a chilly morning in the Lone Star State.
