» Today's meeting between the Blue Raiders and Lancers marks the first time the two schools have met on the basketball court.
» This marks the final CUSA/WAC scheduling initiative – a two-year collaboration between Conference USA and the Western Athletic Conference – game for the Blue Raiders. » MTSU is 2-1 with wins over GCU (2024-25) and SFA (2023-24).

» The Blue Raiders are coming off a 48-74 loss to No. 13 Kansas State in the second annual Bill Snyder Women's Basketball Classic in St. Joseph, Missouri. Middle Tennessee held Kansas State to just 38.9 percent shooting – the lowest shooting output for the Wildcats this season. K-State entered the game leading the nation in field goal percentage (51.4).
» MTSU has enjoyed great success on the road under Head Coach Rick Insell. The Blue Raiders are 172-90 overall on the road under Insell, for a 65 percent winning ledger.
» The Blue Raiders return 10 players, including three starters, from the 2023-24 squad that went 30-5 and won the CUSA regular season and tournament titles and advanced to the Round of 32 of the NCAA Tournament.

The Blue Raiders will face eight teams that finished in the top 150 of the NET Rankings last season, including seven that finished in the top 100 and four that finished in the top 40 before heading into league play.
SCOUTING THE LANCERS
» Cal Baptist enters Tuesday's contest with a 2-10 record. The Lancers were picked to finish second in the WAC preseason poll.
» Injuries have hit the Lancers hard this season, evident by the squad dressing just seven healthy players against UCSD last Saturday. While most of those affected will be returning to the court, their timetables are not set in stone, which means Lancer fans may be in for a few more skeleton crew games.
» Grace Schmidt and Anaiyah Tu'ua are pacing CBU offensively as the calendar year closes out, averaging 13.4 and 10.8 points per game, respectively.
» Schmidt and Emma Johansson are on top of the rebounding category with 7.3 and 6.3 boards per game each, with Johansson also leading the team and conference in blocks with 21 total and 1.75 per contest.
