Blue Raiders back in Florida for The Spring Games

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee softball will be in Madeira Beach, Fla. from Feb. 23-25 to play six games in a neutral site tournament.
The Blue Raiders will start the competition on Friday against Butler and Cornell. The first game will begin at 10:00 a.m. CT with the second game to follow at 12:30 p.m. CT. Saturday, MTSU will face St. Bonaventure and Le Moyne. Game one starts at 12:30 p.m. CT and the second is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. CT. Wrapping up this weekend's games for the Blue Raiders is two games on Sunday against Brown and Siena with first pitch slated for 9:00 a.m. CT.

Series History
The Blue Raiders have only met with Butler and Cornell twice with the series evened at one in each series. This will be the first ever meeting with St. Bonaventure, Le Moyne and Brown. The Blue Raiders lead the series with Siena 2-0 with the most recent matchup back in 2019 when MTSU won 14-3.
Scouting the Competition
Butler is off to a 4-6 start to the 2024 season after playing in Georgia State's tournament a week ago. In 2023 Butler finished with a 12-9 record in the Big East Conference. Cornell will open their season with MTSU on Friday at 12:30 p.m. CT. St. Bonaventure has also yet to start the 2024 campaign but is coming off a 12-35 season a year ago.
Le Moyne is off to a 0-5 start in their first season in Division 1. Brown will kick off the season in Madeira Beach as well. Siena is the final team the Blue Raiders will face at The Spring Games who are 2-3 to start the 2024 season.
