HUNTSVILLE, Texas – Middle Tennessee men's basketball hits the road this weekend to take on Sam Houston at Johnson Coliseum at 7 p.m. Saturday on ESPNU. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT.
The Blue Raiders come in having won six of their last nine after an 0-4 start to Conference USA play. MTSU is rested after a week off following a 74-72 home win over WKU last Saturday in which Jared Coleman-Jones set a career high with 20 points to go along with 11 rebounds. Jestin Porter added 19 points in the win.

» The Bearkats won the first-ever matchup between the two teams, 60-51, on Jan. 13.
Blue Raider Notes
» Middle Tennessee over its last 47 home games has limited opponents to 60.7 points per game in regulation, having gone 39-8 in that stretch. Since the start of the 2021-22 season, the Blue Raiders are allowing 62.7 regulation ppg in neutral site games and 75.7 on the road.
» Jared Coleman-Jones recorded his sixth double-double of the season against WKU, setting a new career high with 20 points and adding 11 rebounds. His three made 3-pointers were also a new career high. The Jacksonville, Fla., native averages 13.7 points and 9.4 rebounds in CUSA action and is 9-for-15 (.600) from 3-point range over his last five games.
» Jestin Porter set Conference USA and MTSU records by going 8-for-8 from 3-point range in MTSU's double OT win over UTEP. His 41 points are tied for the third-highest single-game total in program history. He was named CUSA Player of the Week, TSWA Player of the Week and Oscar Robertson Trophy National Player of the Week after averaging 33.5 points per game against New Mexico State and UTEP.
» Porter's 41 points against UTEP are tied for the eighth-highest single-game output by any Division I player this season.
» MTSU improved to 3-1 in overtime games this season with its win over UTEP and 3-5 all-time in double overtime. The Blue Raiders' four overtime games this year are tied for the most since going into OT five times in the 1981-82 season.
» Porter is averaging 18.9 points per game in conference play with six of his seven 20-point games coming against CUSA competition.
» Elias King this season has moved into ninth in MTSU history with 143 career threes.
» Tre Green is shooting .486 (17-for-35) from 3-point range over his last 11 games.
Scouting the Bearkats
» Sam Houston is half a game behind LA Tech for first place in the Conference USA standings.
» The Bearkats are sixth in the league in both scoring (71.6 ppg) and scoring defense (69.8 ppg).
» Lamar Wilkerson (7th - 14.3 ppg) and Davon Barnes (10th - 13.5 ppg) are both in the top 10 in the league in scoring. Wilkerson led the Bearkats with 27 points the last time Sam Houston and MTSU faced off.
» Sam Houston is the conference's best free throw shooting team at 72.5 percent.
