MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Undefeated at home this season, the Middle Tennessee men's basketball team (5-3) is set to host in-state rival Belmont Sunday afternoon in the Glass House. Tipoff against the Bruins is set for 3:30 p.m. as part of a doubleheader with the women's basketball team. The game will be streamed on ESPN+ and Blue Raider Network.

Series History
The Blue Raiders lead the all-time series 24-20 over the Bruins. In Murfreesboro, MTSU holds a 13-8 record, though Belmont won the matchup last year in Nashville.

Jahvin Carter and Sean Smith have excelled at ball security and control this season, with both in the top five in the conference with their assist-to-turnover ratio. Carter, a sophomore, leads the team with a 2.64 ratio (4th in CUSA), with Smith just behind him at 2.50 (5th in CUSA).
Carter and Smith combined for just one turnover in the contest against UAB Monday, dishing out a combined eight assists and scoring 29 points to pair with it.
The second half of the contest against UAB was an offensive master class from the Blue Raiders, scoring 44 points in the final 20 minutes. The 44 points came on an astounding 63% shooting from the floor (17-27) and 55.6% from behind the arc (5-9), knocking down five shots on six trips to the free throw line as well.
Under head coach Nick McDevitt, the Blue Raiders have consistently protected the Glass House, with 71 wins in the Murphy Center throughout his tenure.
MTSU's three-point percentage defense continues to thrive, ranking 20th in the nation at just 26.5%.
Shooting 51.4 percent from three-point range, Alec Oglesby ranks 15th in Division I in three-point shooting percentage, a mark that is also good for second in the conference.
With 1.63 blocks per game this season, Chris Loofe sits 83rd in the nation and second in Conference USA.
Kamari Lands and Jahvin Carter lead the team, averaging 12.8 points per contest.

Bruin Notes

Belmont sits 8-1 on the year, with its first loss of the season coming in its most recent game to Richmond.
Tyler Lundblade leads the Bruins, averaging 15.9 points per game on 41.0% shooting from the floor.
The Bruins went undefeated at the Coconut Hoops MTE in November, downing Saint Francis and Toledo by scores of 95-57 and 87-72, respectively.
Belmont is sixth in the nation, holding opponents to just 36.3% shooting from the field.
