Blue Raiders wrap up first outdoor meet of the season

ATLANTA – Middle Tennessee men's and women's track and field teams completed the Yellow Jacket Invite on Saturday afternoon.
Stephen Eloji led the way with the sole first place finish for the Blue Raiders running a 14.17s time in the men's 110-meter Hurdle.
"We had great weather for our first outdoor meet," Head coach Keith Vroman said. "Our men's and women's relay teams were very exciting to watch. We ran a lot of Freshman today, and it was fun to watch them get out there and hit personal bests."
Men's Top Performances
· Eloji the reigning CUSA Indoor champion in the 60H, finished first in the men's 110H final with a 14.17s time.
· Jackson Burns ran a personal best in the men's 100M to finish 12th at 10.98s. Along with Simon Cooksey at 11.25s.
· Brady Daniels claimed a new personal best in the 400M to finish third and ran a 47.42s time. Daniels teammate, Spensir Stec finished 10th with a personal best 51.22s time.
· Freshman Sidney Ware placed eighth in the 200M final with a personal best 22.22s time.
· The men's 4x400 team of Burns, Daniels, Eloji and Stec ran a team personal best of 3:19.02s.
· The men's 4x100 team also ran a new team personal best of 40.71s. The team consisted of Burns, Daniels, Eloji and Ware.
Women's Top Performances
· In the women's 110M Lakesha Smith and Lyn'Nikka Vance both had impressive performances. Smith ran a personal best 12.02s for a fourth-place finish and Vance ran 12.05s just behind her teammate to finish sixth.
· Leonie Beu placed third in the 400M with a 55.86s time.
· The women's 4x100 relay of Laila Rudolph, Lakesha Smith, Lyn'Nikka Vance and Tamia Waters placed second behind host, Georgia Tech with a 45.32s time for a new team personal best
· Waters ran a personal best in the 100H in her seventh-place finish of 14.56s.
· Brooke Studnicki finished top-ten in the 1500M with a personal best 4:33.94s time. Along with Eleanor Towe who ran 4:37.81s.
· Nancy Maiyo finished second in the 5000M just shy of her previous personal best she ran a 17:14.94s time at the Yellow Jacket Invite.
· Agnes Chepkurui shattered her previous best time in the 5000M in her fifth-place finish of 17:38.15s.
· Rudolph ran a personal best in the 200M for a seventh-place finish of 25.02s.
· The Women's 4x400 team of Leonie Beu, Pamela Milano, Lakesha Smith and Tamia Water won with a personal best 3:47.74s time.
· Viktoria Rusnakova placed third in the Triple Jump with a mark of 11.85m.
Next up
The men's and women's teams will travel to Raleigh, North Carolina for the Raleigh Relays on March 28-29.
