Blue Raiders fall to Jacksonville State in the Quarterfinals of the CUSA Tournament

MIAMI, Fla. — Middle Tennessee women's tennis traveled to Miami, Fla. to take on the 3-seed Jacksonville State in the quarterfinals of the Conference USA tournament on Friday, April 19. MTSU battled until the end but fell short 4-2 against JSU.
The Gamecocks took the doubles point winning on court No. 3 and No. 2. Cassidy Mataia and Eloise Swarbrick won 6-2 on court No. 1 against Artigas and Zarza.
To open singles play, Sana Garakani took care of business on court No. 1 to win 6-2, 6-0 over Ramenskaja. JSU won on courts No. 2 and No. 4 to take a 3-1 lead. On court No 6, Rutuja Chaphalkar tallied a 6-4, 6-3 victory against Zarza. The Gamecocks clinched the win on court No. 5.
