MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women's soccer team (2-3-0) closed out its first three-match homestand of the season with a 4-2 win over the Bellarmine Knights (1-3-0) this afternoon at Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium.

After nearly a two-hour weather delay, the win today moves the Blue Raiders to 2-3 on the season with just over two weeks until the start of Conference USA play.

Junior midfielder Manon Lebargy recorded her second career brace with a pair of goals in the 12th and the 50th minutes, with the latter coming from the penalty spot.

Just as they have in three of their four matches this season, the Blue Raiders got on the board first with a goal from freshman forward Lexi Dendis, coming off an assist from defenders Sadie Sterbenz and Lauren Spaanstra.

MTSU led 2-0 after 12 minutes of play, but the Knights would get one back with a goal in the 13th minute from a set piece by Lucy Stefenelli.

The Raiders put two more goals on the board prior to the halftime break, with a goal from Megan Carroll in the 18th minute and another from Risui Arasaki in the 39th.

Bellarmine would add another goal in the early going as the scoring barrage would continue, with Rachel Skyberg cutting the Blue Raider lead to 3-2, coming off an Emma Nicholson assist.

The second half opened with Lebargy's penalty goal, which was drawn by Emma Pettersen to set up the goal. Pettersen would score her third goal of the season in the 58th minute to seal the 6-2 win for the home side.

The Blue Raiders finished the 90 minutes with a season-high six goals on 16 total shots and 11 on frame. The aforementioned Lebargy led the way in the scoring department with two goals, increasing her season tally to three. Dendis, Carroll, Arasaki and Pettersen each added a goal of their own, leading the Blue Raiders to a 6-2 victory.

Next up for Middle Tennessee is a trip to Huntsville, Ala. for a meeting with the Alabama A&M Bulldogs on Thursday, Sept. 5 at 3 P.M. CT at the Bulldog Soccer Field.
