Eight Blue Raiders set new personal records at Vanderbilt Invitational

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee Track & Field rounded out the Vanderbilt Invitational with eight Blue Raiders setting new personal records across various running events.
The day began with two Blue Raiders, Xarya Udoumana and Cameron-Desiree Wilson, breaking their personal records in the Women's 60m dash. Udoumana recorded a time of 7.91 seconds and Wilson recorded a time of 7.96 seconds.
In the Women's 400m race, Bridgett Annan and Courtney Green set new personal records with Annan finishing in fifth place in the competition. Green recorded a time of 57.51 seconds and Annan notched her previous best with a time of 54.95 seconds.
Middle Tennessee Track & Field had great success in the Women's 800m race with Privillege Chikara getting third in the race and Emma Thomas and Lauren Cole setting new personal records. Chikara recorded a time of 2:07.58 to grab the bronze medal while Thomas and Cole recorded times of 2:23.14 and 2:23.88, respectively.
In the Men's 60m Final, John Sherman narrowly broke his previous personal record recording a time of 6.65 seconds to take fourth place in the race. In the Men's 3000m race, Carmelo Cannizzaro beat his personal best by recording a time of 8:19.57 seconds.
