Blue Raiders drop tough five-set battle to Jax State

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – Middle Tennessee Volleyball dropped a tough five-set thriller to Jax State in their second meeting. The set scores were as follows: 20-25, 26-24, 25-21, 13-25, 11-15.
The Blue Raiders had another well-balanced offensive performance with five Blue Raiders posting over seven kills. Raegan Durbin led the way for Middle Tennessee with 11 kills, Gabrielle Clinkscale and Michaela Dlouhá each with eight kills, Payton Deidesheimer and Logan Carr each with seven kills. Caroline Macander tallied 37 assists on the match, totaling four kills of her own.
The Blue Raiders outblocked the Gamecocks yet again, this time nine total blocks to eight. Logan Carr accounted for five of the Blue Raider blocks, Dlouhá and Deidesheimer each with four. Macander notched 19 digs, the second best defensive effort of all players in the match. Isil Yilmaz had 14 digs, Durbin behind her with 13. Raegan Durbin and Caroline Macander both double-doubled on the match.
