Men's Basketball travels north to take on No. 7 Michigan

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee men's basketball team is set to continue its November road stand, this time in Ann Arbor, Mich. The Blue Raider take on No. 7 Michigan at the Crisler Center on November 19. The game tips off at 5:30 p.m. CT and can be streamed on Big Ten Network or Blue Raider Network.

Series History
The Blue Raiders and the Wolverines have met just once before, a contest that saw Middle Tennessee emerge with a victory. The two played in the UAB Classic on December 29, 1986 with MTSU downing UM 85-83 in the Birmingham-Jefferson Coliseum.

The team opened its road slate last Wednesday, heading north to take on Evansville. The Blue Raiders continued to shine, just as they did at home, earning a strong 77-72 win over the Purple Aces.
Three Blue Raiders set season-highs in points scored at Evansville, with two scoring career-bests in Kamari Lands (23pts) and Jahvin Carter (18pts).
A late push from the Purple Aces forced the Blue Raiders to continue to battle throughout the game, emerging with a second-straight road opening win.
Kamari Lands topped his previous career-high with a team-leading 23 points at Evansville to set a new personal best.
MTSU's three-point percentage defense also continues to thrive, ranking fourth in the nation at just 19.2 percent, while the team averages the 11^th-most three pointers per game in the country with 12.7.
With a 2.22 assist-to-turnover ratio and a 9.3 turnover margin, MTSU sits 13^th and eighth in the nation, respectively.
The Blue Raiders sit ninth in the nation in scoring margin at 35.7.
With both No. 2 Houston and No. 7 Michigan on the schedule before January, it marks the first time since 2007-08 that the Blue Raiders will take on two top-10 teams in the same season.

Wolverine Notes

Michigan is averaging 91.0 points per game and has scored 40+ points in five of six halves, highlighted by a program-record 69 points in the first half against Oakland.
Morez Johnson Jr. (14.7 ppg) and Roddy Gayle Jr. (11.3 ppg) have opened the season with three straight double-figure games, with U-M having five players averaging double digits overall.
