The Raiders will face Vanderbilt in a midweek matchup, host Indiana on Friday night, and conclude the week with a Sunday doubleheader against Arkansas and Eastern Kentucky.
History vs. Vanderbilt
Middle Tennessee opens the week against Vanderbilt on Wednesday, Feb. 5. This marks the sixth SEC opponent the Blue Raiders have faced this season.
The Commodores enter the match with a 5-2 record, coming off a Feb. 1 doubleheader sweep of Belmont (7-0) and Southern Indiana (4-0). Vanderbilt leads the all-time series 11-2, but Middle Tennessee has won the last two meetings, both during the 2021 season—earning a 4-3 win followed by a 5-2 victory.
First serve is set for 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Adams Tennis Complex.
Hoosiers Return to Murfreesboro
Indiana visits for a seventh consecutive regular-season matchup against Middle Tennessee. The Hoosiers hold a 5-3 all-time series lead and claimed a narrow 4-3 victory in the last meeting.
Indiana is off to a strong start this season, entering the match at 5-0 after a 4-1 win over Toledo. The Hoosiers' only dropped court in that match was at No. 2 singles, where Jap van Assendelft fell 6-2, 6-2.
The matchup is set for Friday, Feb. 7, at 5 p.m. at the Adams Tennis Complex.
Sunday Doubleheader to Cap the Weekend
Middle Tennessee will wrap up the week with two matches on Sunday, Feb. 9, starting with a contest against Arkansas.
The Razorbacks boast an 8-2 record, with their only losses coming against Rice and Tulsa. Arkansas' most recent match resulted in a 4-0 win over Lamar. Middle Tennessee leads the all-time series 2-0, including a 6-1 victory last year in Fayetteville. Sunday's match will be the first time the Raiders host Arkansas in Murfreesboro.
First serve is scheduled for noon.
Following a short break, Middle Tennessee will take on Eastern Kentucky in the first-ever meeting between the programs. The Colonels enter the week with a 3-6 record and have two matches before facing the Blue Raiders. Their most recent result was a 6-1 loss to Xavier.
The final match of the weekend is set for 5 p.m. at the Adams Tennis Complex.
