MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Blue Raiders are heading to the Sunshine State for a doubleheader in Orlando against Navy and Hillsborough Community College at the USTA National Campus.
Middle Tennessee is coming off a doubleheader against FIU and Ball State, in which they dropped both matches. The Blue Raiders are looking forward to returning to the win column in their two matches on Tuesday.
Vs. Hillsborough Community College
This will be the first meeting between Middle Tennessee and Hillsborough. The Hawks hold a 1-3 record this season and are coming off a 6-1 loss to Toledo on March 8. Despite their record, Hillsborough remains a strong team, finishing as runners-up in last season's NJCAA National Championship.
The match is set for 10:30 a.m. CST in Orlando.
Scouting Navy
Before facing the Blue Raiders, Navy will play Quinnipiac in the morning. Navy enter the round-robin event in Orlando with a 9-8 record and are coming off a 7-0 win over Morgan State on March 1.
Key players to watch for Navy include Molly Bellia, Emily Tannenbaum, and Emma Gu, who have been instrumental in the team's success this season. Like Hillsborough, Navy's record does not fully reflect its potential.
The match is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. CST in Orlando, Florida.
