Al-Amin Nabs Second CUSA Athlete of the Week Award

DALLAS — Conference USA has named Middle Tennessee's Karim Al-Amin its Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week, marking the Blue Raider's second time earning the honor this season.
Al-Amin earned the recognition following standout performances against South Florida and Eastern Illinois. Against USF, he defeated No. 54 Hugo Car in a hard-fought match, rallying for a 4-6, 6-4, 10-6 victory—his latest win over a ranked opponent this season.
He followed that performance with a straight-sets win over Eastern Illinois' Pieke Bouman, 6-2, 6-3, helping lead the Blue Raiders to a 7-0 sweep to close out the weekend.
Al-Amin and the rest of the Blue Raiders are looking to finish the regular season strong, with only three matches remaining, including one against Louisville tomorrow.
