Blue Raiders head to CUSA Indoor Championships

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Middle Tennessee Track & Field Team heads to Lynchburg for the Conference USA Indoor Track & Field Championships. The meet will be hosted at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex on Saturday, Feb. 28 and Sunday, March 1.
What to Watch for
Seven Blue Raiders rank in the top three in Conference USA for their respective event heading into the weekend.
Mustapha Bokpin has been a star all winter for the Blue Raiders, taking home three CUSA Male Track Athlete of the Week awards during the indoor season. Bokpin's times are currently first in the conference in the 200m and second in the 60m.
Chidinma Agu has had a breakout season for the Blue Raiders; her time in the 400m is currently third in Conference USA.
Mackdonald Songok currently sits with the fastest time in the 800m heading into Conference USA Indoor Championships. Privillege Chikara has also had a great senior indoor campaign, her marks in both the 800m and the mile sitting second in CUSA.
Moses Lekokei and Faith Nyathi enter conference championship weekend with both of their 3000m times landing third best in Conference USA ahead of indoor championships. Nyathi's 5000mmark is also second in the conference.
Gabe Allen has had a solid freshman indoor season, his 5000m time third best in Conference USA and the best among conference freshmen.
The Blue Raider Men's 4x400 squad made up of Bokpin, Evan Tomlinson, James Thomas, Jr. and Wail Bourhali recorded the third best mark in the event heading into the Conference USA Indoor Championships.
Keeping Track of the Action
Blue Raider fans can keep track of the action at the Conference USA Indoor Track & Field Championships through the live results link or by watching on ESPN+ from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday and 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The meet is slated to begin at 8:30 a.m. CT on Friday with the pentathlon 60m hurdles. The events will conclude on Saturday with the men's 4x400 relay. The awards presentation is scheduled for 4:40 p.m. following the conclusion of the final event of the meet.
