Blue Raiders slated for CUSA series with WKU

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Middle Tennessee Softball is on the road for its third Conference USA series of the 2026 season. The Blue Raiders head to Bowling Green, Ky. To take on the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers in a three-game conference series. The Blue Raiders and Hilltoppers will play game one on Friday, March 20 at 6:00 p.m. CT at the WKU Softball Complex.
Blue Raider Notes
- Middle Tennessee enters the weekend at an even 13-13 and 3-3 in CUSA play after completing a sweep of UT Martin on its home field on Wednesday, March 18. The Blue Raiders took down the Skyhawks for a third time with help from a three-run home run from Sabria Ritto.
- Tori Coffman picked up her first win of the season against the Skyhawks in game three, striking out three batters in just two innings of relief.
- The Blue Raiders blasted a tied Middle Tennessee single-game record of four home runs in game three against Liberty, marking just the third time in program history that a Middle Tennessee team has done so.
- Middle Tennessee has hit a stride at the plate; the Blue Raiders have homered in 13 of their last 17 games, including a stretch of eight consecutive and nine multi home run games.
Hilltopper Notes
- Western Kentucky enters the weekend on a four-game losing streak, holding a 19-7 overall record and 3-3 mark in CUSA play under the leadership of head coach Amy Tudor in her 13th season.
- The Hilltoppers excel in the circle, the WKU staff holding a 2.64 ERA that puts them at the top of Conference USA and 19th in the nation.
- Annie White leads Western Kentucky at the plate with a .464 batting average that nets her 49th in NCAA Division 1 softball. White has also recorded 33 hits and 29 RBI, including 13 extra-base hits.
Series History
The Blue Raiders are behind in the series with the Hilltoppers with a record of 48-38 all-time. The last time Middle Tennessee and Western Kentucky clashed was last season in regular season Conference USA play, where the Blue Raiders took the series two games to one.
