Maneth Tied for Second as Blue Raiders Sit Eighth After Day One at Louisiana Classics

LAFAYETTE, La. — Middle Tennessee completed 36 holes on Monday at the Louisiana Classics and sits eighth in the team standings at 6-under-par after the opening day at Oakbourne Country Club.
The Blue Raiders posted rounds of 3-under-par in both the first and second rounds to finish the day at 6-under-par, trailing leader Texas A&M (-23). Little Rock (-15) and Michigan (-14) round out the top three heading into Tuesday's final round.
Redshirt senior Carter Maneth led the way for Middle Tennessee, firing rounds of 70 and 66 to sit tied for second at 8-under-par through 36 holes. Maneth's second-round 66 vaulted him up the leaderboard and places him four shots back of tournament leader Malan Potgieter of Louisiana (-12).
The Louisiana Classics continues with a final 18 holes on Tuesday, Mar. 10. Final round action will begin at 7:30 a.m. CT.
The Lineup
• Carter Maneth surged into a tie for second at 8-under-par after rounds of 70-66.
• Connor Henry sits tied for 30th at 1-under-par following rounds of 71-72.
• Oliver Baker is tied for 46th at 1-over-par after posting rounds of 71-74.
• Maddox Crowder finished the day tied for 53rd at 2-over-par with rounds of 73-73.
• Jake Hopper rounded out the lineup and is tied for 88th at 9-over-par.
