Blue Raiders return home to host CUSA series against LA Tech

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee Softball is back in Murfreesboro to host LA Tech for a three-game Conference USA series. The Blue Raiders will take on the Bulldogs at the Blue Raider Softball Field, the first game beginning at 6:00 p.m. CT on Thursday, April 2.
Blue Raider Notes
- Middle Tennessee enters the weekend after battling Sam Houston in its most recent CUSA series. The Blue Raider pitching staff was a bright spot of the series, Braelyn Hall and Tori Coffman combining for three consecutive complete games and a 2.90 ERA on the weekend.
- Macie Harter dominated at the plate in Huntsville, recording a .545 batting average and slugging .727 across three games. The sophomore left fielder knocked six hits, two of them doubles, and scored three runs. Harter also leads the nation in defensive runs saved.
- Hall struck out 11 and allowed just three earned runs in 13.1 innings pitched against Sam Houston, finishing the weekend with a 1.57 ERA.
Bulldog Notes
- LA Tech enters the weekend 19-17 overall and moved to 5-7 in Conference USA play after securing a series win over Missouri State.
- Reagan Marchant leads the Bulldogs at the plate with nine home runs and 29 RBI on the season.
- Allie Floyd leads LA Tech with a 2.67 ERA and 82 strikeouts. Floyd ranks second in CUSA in strikeouts and fourth in the conference in ERA.
Series History
The series between Middle Tennessee and LA Tech is 16-12 all-time in favor of the Bulldogs. The last time the two teams met was in Ruston last year during regular season Conference USA play where LA Tech swept the series.
