MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee Softball (13-20, 3-10 CUSA) dropped a battle with LA Tech (20-17, 6-7 CUSA) by a score of 4-6 at the Blue Raider Softball Field.

The game started off with a bang, the Bulldogs bringing three runs to the plate in the top of the first. The Blue Raiders responded with two runs of their own in the bottom of the frame off the bats of Jana Want and Ansley Blevins, Blevins blasting her fifth home run of the season. The scoring paused from both teams for three and a half innings, until Middle Tennessee took the lead in the bottom of the fifth with a base clearing single from Adaeze Nwogbo.

The Blue Raiders entered the seventh inning with the lead, recording two outs and working the count to being one strike away from the win, but the Bulldogs sent off a two-run shot that would bring the winning run across the plate for LA Tech.

Braelyn Hall got the start in the circle for Middle Tennessee, striking out two in five innings of work before Tori Coffman would enter the game in relief. Coffman struck out one in her two innings and picked up the loss.

4: With her two RBI in today's game, Adaeze Nwogbo recorded her fourth multi-RBI game of the year.
5: Ansley Blevins shot off her fifth home run of the season against the Bulldogs, making her the third Blue Raider to do so this season.
19: Macie Harter extended her streak of reaching base to 19 games with her hit in the first inning.
