NEWARK, Del. – Middle Tennessee Softball (15-24, 4-14 CUSA) dropped game three to Delaware (22-19, 11-7 CUSA) by a score of 4-2.

The Blue Raiders were quite at the plate, only recording three hits as a team, however, all three were for extra bases. Mady Pint knocked her fourth triple of the season in the top of the third, Jana Want knocked an RBI double in the top of the sixth and Onnika Spencer smashed a solo home run in the top of the seventh, Want and Spencer combining for the two Middle Tennessee runs.

Halle Klaiber got the start in the circle for the Blue Raiders, tossing 2.0 innings of work and picking up the loss before Braelyn Hall entered the game in relief. Hall struck out five in 4.0 innings, allowing just one earned run on four hits.

By the Numbers

8: Onnika Spencer recorded her eighth home run of the season in the top of the seventh inning; Spencer is now tied for the most home runs on the team this season.
10: Mady Pint knocked Middle Tennessee's 10th triple of the season in the top of the third inning, the Blue Raiders second in Conference USA in triples.
24: Macie Harter snapped a 24 game on-base streak and a nine game hitting streak during today's game against the Blue Hens.
