Women's Golf to close out regular season at Golfweek Spring Challenge

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women's golf program is set to embark on its final tournament of the regular season at the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge. The three-day tournament will run from April 6-8 at the Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawleys Island, S.C.
The Blue Raiders
Middle Tennessee will field a five-player lineup, along with an individual competitor in South Carolina. Isabella Johnson will lead the way once again, followed by Jillian Bowman, Ella Manley, Caroline Pardue and closed out with Abbie Lee. Nicole Johnson is set to compete at the tournament as an individual competitor.
In last year's Golfweek Spring Challenge, the Blue Raiders came in second with the sixth-lowest 54-hole tournament total at that time with an 861 (+9). Lee finished second on the individual leaderboard with a 209 (-4), her best career finish to date.
The Field
Middle Tennessee will be joined by UNC Asheville, Missouri State, Akron, Jacksonville State, Farleigh Dickinson, Morehead State, Western Michigan, Coastal Carolina, Charleston Southern, Ball State, Winthrop, Radford, Marshall, Samford, Ohio, Evansville and Stonehill College.
The Tournament
The 54-hole tournament will take place over three days, with 18 holes being played each day. This marks the first three-day competition of Middle Tennessee's spring season. The Caledonia Golf & Fish Club will play as a par 71 at 6,054 yards, a course where the Blue Raiders took home second in last year's Golfweek Spring Challenge. The opening day will begin with tee times and MTSU is set to tee off beginning at 8 a.m. on hole 10 while paired with Ball State, Winthrop and Ohio.
