2020 (Redshirt Freshman):
• Started six games during the Tigers’ 17-game season.
• Tallied one double and one home run at the dish. Also plated a pair of runs.
2019 (Freshman):
• Appeared in five games with three starts.
• Missed the majority of the year due to injury and qualified for a redshirt season.
• Collected a pair of hits, including a double in his first collegiate plate appearance against Murray State (Feb. 20).
• Blasted his first collegiate home run in a pinch-hit at-bat at Arkansas (Feb. 27).
Providence Catholic HS
• Member of back-to-back Illinois State Championship teams.
• Named all-area as a senior after batting .430 with 12 doubles, two homers and 29 RBI.
• Batted .412 with four home runs and 21 RBI in 2017.
• Named all-conference despite missing several games with a broken hand during junior season.
• Also played defensive tackle on the football team and won a powerlifting meet.
• Member of the National Honor Society and named a 2018 Illinois State Scholar in the classroom.

• Jones is the son of Scott and Treva Jones.

- First hit as a Blue Raider came on a two-RBI single vs. Charlotte April 15.
- Walked in a crucial spot in MT's ninth inning rally vs. Austin Peay March 15.
- Recorded 10 putouts and did not commit an error behind the plate.
- Singled at Rice May 15.
- 2021-22 Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal recipient.
