Honors: 2015 – Named a permanent team captain … Voted Preseason First Team All-C-USA … Named to Rotary Lombardi Award Watch List … Nominated for AFCA Good Works Team … Presented the Terry Whiteside Award for excellence in academics, football, strength training, community service, and campus activities … Earned the “Grinder Award” for offensive lineman following spring drills … 2014 – Named Second Team All-C-USA … 2013 – Voted Honorable Mention All-C-USA … Named Most Improved offensive lineman following spring drills and the Most Improved Strength Training award for offensive linemen.
2015: Played and started in six games … Averaged 73 snaps in his six games … Was integral in the Blue Raider offense setting single-season records in total offense, scoring and passing yards while helping produce the first 4,000-yard passer and two 1,000-yard receivers in the same season for first time in school history … Made move from tackle to guard in the spring … Suffered a stress fracture in his leg during fall camp and missed the Jackson State, Alabama, Charlotte and Illinois games … Returned to the lineup against Vanderbilt at left tackle … Suffered an injury prior to first half at FAU and was lost for the season.
2014: Started all 12 games … Led all linemen with 942 snaps played, including 90 or more three times … Helped anchor a line that allowed the Raiders to rush for 209.7 yards a game and 243.9 in conference play (second most in league) … Part of a line that produced seven 200-yard rushing games, including two of 300 or more.
2013: Started all 13 games … Ranked second among linemen with 969 total snaps played … Had 70 or more snaps in a game eight times, including 103 against Marshall … Was part of a line that produced five different 100-yard rushers and seven games of 200 or more yards on the ground.
2012: Started all 12 games … Part of a line that ranked second nationally in fewest sacks allowed and paved the way for three different 100-yard rushers … Played 70 or more snaps nine times … Had 74 knockdowns, including a season-high nine against Georgia Tech … Gave up one sack all season … Had 70 or more snaps nine times … Played a career-best 91 snaps in win at FIU … Was in on all 83 snaps vs USA and 76 vs FAU and WKU.
