Outdoor: Competed in the long jump and triple jump, finishing four times in the top 5 in the triple jump … Won the triple jump at the Tennessee Challenge May 3 with a distance of 15.09-meters … Added a fourth-place finish at the Tiger Track Classic April 6 (15.01-meters) … Notched a season-best 15.22-meters at the Tennessee Relays April 12 for fifth place … Tallied a 10th-place finish in the long jump at the Tennessee Challenge (6.24m) … Set a season-best distance at the Tiger Track Classic April 6 (6.58-meters).
Prior to MT: Lettered in men’s track, soccer, field hockey and volleyball… A national post primary champion in 2009 and 2010 for men’s track… A national triple jump champion and east African triple jump bronze medalist in 2010.
Personal: Son of Mario Okello and Christine Ayo … Plans to attend graduate school and get a job as a coach … Hobbies include track, traveling, volunteering, playing volleyball and soccer, listening to music, watching movies and worshiping the Lord.
