Jalynn Gregory, one of the most accomplished players in Middle Tennessee women’s basketball history, begins her coaching career as an assistant coach with the Blue Raiders in 2026. A five-year standout in Murfreesboro, Gregory transitions to the sideline after a decorated playing career defined by elite shooting, leadership, and a deep connection to the program’s culture.
Gregory concluded her career as Middle Tennessee’s all-time leader in three-point field goals made (343) and ranked among Conference USA’s leaders in both three-pointers made and free throw percentage (88.1%). She surpassed 1,500 career points and recorded 82 double-figure scoring performances, serving as a central figure in the most successful class in program history. During her tenure, she also contributed significantly to a 2024–25 defensive unit that led the nation, underscoring her impact on both ends of the floor.
A native of Lafayette, Tennessee, Gregory earned All-Conference USA honors in each of her four eligible seasons and was recognized as the league’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Her academic achievements were equally notable, as she was a consistent member of the Commissioner’s Honor Roll and conference academic teams. In addition, she garnered multiple All-Tournament selections and weekly conference awards throughout her career.
Gregory earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Middle Tennessee in 2024, with minors in Biology and Athletic Coaching. She remained with the program as a graduate assistant and is scheduled to complete her Master of Professional Studies with a concentration in Strategic Leadership in May 2026.
In her role as assistant coach, Gregory contributes to all facets of the program, including player development, recruiting, scouting, and administrative operations. Widely respected for her work ethic, basketball IQ, and leadership, she brings valuable continuity and perspective to the Blue Raiders’ coaching staff.
