Steven Boo joined the Middle Tennessee Women’s Golf staff as the assistant coach in January 2019.
Prior to joining joining the team, Boo worked with the Trevecca Men's Golf program where he helped the Trojans collect the 2015, 2016 and 2017 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championships and advance to the NCAA Super Regional in 2017.
During his time with the Trojans, Boo coached the 2016 and 2018 GMAC Player of the Year as well as the 2018 GMAC Freshman of the Year. His tenure also saw the team break numerous single-round, 36- and 54-hole school scoring records.
As a full-time Golf Instructor at The Golf Club of Tennessee, Steven has experience teaching and coaching players of all ability levels, including those competing at the highest levels of amateur and professional golf. He has a passion for learning and motivating students to get the most out of their abilities on and off the golf course.
Before joining the staff at the Golf Club of Tennessee in 2018, Boo worked at Nashville Golf & Athletic Club in Brentwood as an Assistant Golf Professional from 2013-17. The club is the Annual Host of the Web.com Tours Nashville Golf Open.
From 2004-06, Boo got his first collegiate coaching experience as he served as the Volunteer Assistant Women’s Golf Coach at Vanderbilt. While with the Commodores, Boo coached six All-Americans, one SEC Player of the Year, one SEC Freshman of the Year and the 2004 SEC Championship squad.
Boo graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2003, earning his B.S. Degree in Recreation and Leisure Services.
