Middle Tennessee Volleyball Hosts Arkansas State Friday

Murfreesboro, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee volleyball continues their Sun Belt Conference home stand as the Lady Raider hosts Arkansas State at 7 p.m. Friday in the Murphy Center.
Arkansas State comes into the game with an overall record of 6-4 and is ranked second in the East with a record of 2-1. Katie Silliman, for Arkansas State, leads the league in hitting percentage with .389 on 124 kills and 244 total attacks with 29 errors.
In their game against Florida International the Lady Indians won 3-2 remaining undefeated against the Golden Panthers. The Lady Raiders last game, against UT-Chattanooga, also went to five but MT feel 2-3.
Leading Middle Tennessee (5-10, 1-2 Sun Belt) is Shakeithia Deckard and Katie Thiesen, as Deckard has 195 kills and Thiesen has recorded 133. Setter Kelly Quinn tops the Lady Raiders in assists with 311 and sophomore Karisse Baker has become a top blocker for Middle Tennessee as she has posted 53 blocks for an average of 1.03 blocks per game.
Overall, Middle Tennessee and Arkansas State have met five times and the Lady Indians are undefeated over the Lady Raiders. In the team's two meetings last year ASU won 3-2 in Jonesboro and 3-0 in Murfreesboro.
