DENTON, TX - Middle Tennessee volleyball (8-18, 4-9 SBC) fell to Sun Belt Conference Western Division foe North Texas (11-13, 6-6 SBC) 20-30, 23-30, 22-30 Friday in the Snake Pit.
Overall the Lady Raiders recorded a .147 hitting percentage compared to North Texas' .296. Eighteen hitting errors and 12 service errors in the match also hampered Middle Tennessee and the way the team is plays has baffled Head Coach Lisa Kissee.
"We've played like individuals at a time in the season when we should be playing with better communication and effort than ever," Kissee said. "Our performances this week have been the poorest of the year."
Junior Erin Hillstrom, from Dallas, TX, led Middle Tennessee, as she was the only Lady Raider to register double figure kills with 10. Setter Goldie Bilyeu was the only MT player with double figure digs as she recorded 10.
Next up for Middle Tennessee is the Southwest Missouri Tournament, which begins on Saturday. The Lady Raiders open the tournament with Oklahoma at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
