Murfreesboro, Tenn. Middle Tennessee volleyball fell 30-26,30-22,30-26 to Eastern Division Sun Belt Conference leader Western Kentucky Saturday at Murphy Center.
Junior Katie Thiesen played an inspired game against the Toppers as she 10 kills on 20 attacks and only had one error. Sophomore Karisse Baker had a career high in blocks and block assists with two and five respectively.
"We are a team that has to play with all of the pieces of the puzzle together all the time," said Middle Tennessee head coach Lisa Kissee. "If one of the pieces is missing it really throws off our timing.
Middle Tennessee falls to 5-9 overall and 1-2 in the Sun Belt while WKU improves to 9-4 and 3-0 in the conference. The Lady Raiders travel to UT-Chattanooga Tuesday October 2 for a 7 p.m. game.
