NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee (7-5) lost a doubleheader sweep to Tennessee State (7-8) Tuesday, dropping the first game 1-0 and then losing the nightcap 10-8.
In the first game, TSU sophomore Justine Jontz pitched into the sixth inning allowing six hits before giving way to junior Tara Evanisko who allowed one hit the rest of the way to record the save. The Tiger hurlers stranded 10 Middle Tennessee base runners.
