MT Softball Concludes Fall Play with Columbia State

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee softball team will end fall play Friday at 6 p.m., against Columbia State at Blue Raider Softball Field.
MT will play seven regular innings before three innings of situational play.
The Blue Raiders previously played Alabama on Sunday and fell 12-0 in the first game before falling 9-0 in the second game of a doubleheader. Kelci Cheney started inside the dish for the opening game while Caitlin McClure and Makenzie Prince also saw action inside the circle. Kiarra Freeman was the only player to record a hit for the Blue Raiders while tallying a stolen base.
Megan Chocallo got the nod in the second contest and Cheney and Prince each pitched as well. Left fielder Alma Cortez and designated player Lauren Riddell both recorded a hit in a pair of singles.
Games are free to attend and follow @MT_Softball for game updates. If attending, the new parking lot behind the first base dugout is designated for softball games. The Scarlett Commons lot is no longer available to park for softball games.
