MURFREESBORO – Middle Tennessee will go for its third win in a row as the Blue Raiders host North Texas on Senior Day this Saturday. The Blue Raiders will honor 27 seniors in a pregame ceremony.
Kickoff is set for 11:04 AM central time from Floyd Stadium and will be shown nationally on the American Sports Network (Comcast 18/1108; DirecTV 58, Dish 58 and AT&T 58).
Middle Tennessee and North Texas have met 13 times on the football field with the Mean Green holding an 8-5 advantage.

JAMES SETS NEW RECEPTIONS MARK
Wide receiver Richie James set a new single-season receptions record when he hauled in nine passes at FAU to give him 82 on the season. James broke the previous mark of 76 set by Kerry Wright in 2004. With 12 more catches he will jump into the Top 10 all-time in Conference USA and will also set a C-USA freshman mark.
1,000-YARD MAN
With 198 yard receiving yards (3rd most in school history) at FAU, WR Richie James became just the second player in MT history to record 1,000 receiving yards in a season. James now has 1,037 yards this year and is now chasing the single-season mark of 1,280 established by Kerry Wright in 2003. Wright also had 1,048 yards in 2004. James currently ranks third nationally in receptions and 11th in receiving yards.
TOP DUO IN SCHOOL HISTORY
The receiving tandem of Ed Batties and Richie James officially became the top duo for a single-season in school history following the win over Marshall. James and Batties have now combined for 149 receptions this season to break the previous mark of 134 set by Kerry Wright (74) and Chris Henry (60) in 2004. James now has 82 receptions on the season while Batties has added 67.
BATTIES SETS TD RECORD
With a touchdown grab in overtime against Marshall, senior Ed Batties broke the single-season record of 11 set by Kerry Wright in 2004. Batties now has 12 on the season to rank sixth nationally and needs two more to tie for fifth on the all-time C-USA list. For his career, Batties now has 15 touchdown catches to rank eighth all-time.

STOCKSTILL ADDS TO SINGLE-SEASON 300-YARD RECORD
QB Brent Stockstill, who already owns nearly ever freshman passing record, established a new single-season mark at MT for 300-yard passing games with his 381-yard effort at LA Tech to give him four on the season. Stockstill made it five with a 353-yard effort in the win over Marshall and ran it to six at FAU. He stands second on the career list and is chasing all-time leader Wes Counts who had seven for his career.
LETHAL FRESHMAN COMBINATION
Freshmen Brent Stockstill and Richie James have turned into a lethal combination for the Blue Raider offense this season. The duo is the first 3,000 yard passing and 1,000-yard receiving combo in school history and the pair could still have as many as three games to add to their totals.

Senior Kevin Byard tied a 33-year old Middle Tennessee record when he hauled in his 17th career interception against Vanderbilt.
