Blue Raiders Welcome Legends

MT Plays Host to UAB Saturday
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee has a rich women's basketball history and several of its "Legends" will be honored during halftime of the Blue Raiders' home game against UAB Saturday. Tipoff at Murphy Center is 5 p.m.
Many of the outstanding players from previous teams will be recognized for their contributions to Blue Raider women's basketball.
The Blue Raiders (18-7, 12-3) have three games remaining, all at Murphy Center, before the C-USA Tournament. Middle Tennessee is currently in second place in the league standings, one game behind WKU.
UAB (14-12, 8-7) is looking to make a push to get into the top four spots in the league standings. The top four teams all receive a first-round bye. The Blazers, who host the tournament, are one game out of the fourth-place spot going into this weekend.
Olivia Jones continues to lead the Blue Raiders. The sophomore leads C-USA in scoring with 20 points per game and she's fifth in the league in rebounding with 8.6 per game.
The Blue Raiders have also proven to be excellent sharing and moving the basketball. Ty Petty is third in the league in assists with 4.5 per game and Shanice Cason is 11th with 3.1.
