Two Raiders to compete at Louisville

Final event before ITA Regional
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – In the final tournament before the ITA Ohio Valley Regional in Knoxville next weekend, Middle Tennessee's men's tennis team will send two to compete in this weekend's Louisville Scramble.
Jan Porteset and Nicolas Buitrago Machado will take the courts in Louisville in the three-day event starting tomorrow.
This event is set to be Porteset's second as a Blue Raider. In the opening event of the fall season, the Trier, Germany, native posted three straight-set wins over opponents from Princeton, Penn and No. 25 Columbia. The senior was 2-3 in doubles action at the Penn Invitational with three different partners.
Riding a five-match win streak in singles play heading into the Louisville Scramble is Buitrago. He fell twice at the Penn Invitational to open the season before posting a 2-1 record at the Dale Short Shootout. Buitrago earned three straight-set wins at the Dick LaLance Showdown to bring his fall singles record to 6-3 overall.
