Burris fires 4-under 68 on final day
Final Results
FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee bounced back on day three of the Mason Rudolph Championship Sunday, matching their round one score at 6-over 294.
While the three-round total of 26-over (294-302-294=890) put the Blue Raiders in 14th place in one of the toughest fields in the country, their late surge on Sunday left them just one stroke shy of catching a Top 40 team from last season in UCF.
The surge was largely fueled by redshirt junior and defending Conference USA individual champion Jenna Burris, who tallied five of MT's 12 birdies in the last nine holes.
Burris's 4-under 68 led the Raiders on the final day and vaulted her into the Top 35 on the leaderboard as Middle Tennessee's top finisher in the tournament.

QUOTABLES
"We played pretty solid today, especially considering I wasn't sure if a few of them would finish due to illness. Jenna played really solid today, especially on the last nine holes, and Hanley had a solid tournament as well. Cynthia and our two freshmen, Caroline and Savannah, played a really good first tournament on such a great course with a great field considering they were all playing through illness." – Head Coach Chris Adams on her team's performance at the Mason Rudolph Championship
"I really knew that the team needed me to come through and really push to finish strong. I birdied holes one and two after the turn and made a good par on three to keep the momentum going into four and five. With over half the team sick, it was a great day to pull out a good round and I never gave up." – Jenna Burris on her strong finish to move up the leaderboard on Sunday
