MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee men's tennis hosts its second Conference USA opponent of the season in the first part of a doubleheader on Sunday with UTSA and TSU, with action getting underway at 11 a.m.
UTSA has already proven to be an improved team from last year's 6-18 record, when the team was the bottom seed in the C-USA Tournament. The Roadrunners bring an 0-2 record to Tennessee for matches against Belmont on Saturday before visiting the Adams Tennis Complex on Sunday. Both losses came against ranked opponents, and UTSA earned two points in the match at No. 24 Texas Tech. The other loss was to No. 8 Texas, 7-0.
The Blue Raiders will wrap up the doubleheader on Sunday against TSU at 4 p.m. The Tigers are 4-0 entering the weekend, with all four wins coming against Mississippi Valley State last weekend. MT owns the all-time record, 22-0, and has only given up one point to the Tigers in the history of the series (2017).
There will be a paper airplane toss to win a Wilson tennis racket at the conclusion of the first match of the day. Live stats will be available for both matches, and updates can be found on Twitter, @MT_MensTennis, and on Facebook, MTSU Men's Tennis.
