Raiders Wrap Up Play at June Stewart Invitational

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Blue Raiders competed against a nationally talented field at the June Stewart Invitational. In the event, Middle Tennessee faced off against Texas Tech, Georgia Tech, and Vanderbilt both in singles and doubles.
Lidia Burrows topped her opponent from Texas Tech on Friday (6-2, 6-3). She also took her opponent from Georgia Tech to three sets (4-6, 6-3, 6-3) and lost in two tiebreakers (7-5, 7-5). Lee Barnard also won a singles match over an opponent from Georgia Tech (7-6, 6-4).
In doubles, Kim Kermit and Zani Barnard won their match over a pair from Texas Tech 7-6.
Looking Ahead
The Blue Raiders will take a week off before they compete for the final time in the 2018 fall season. The next match will be November 9-11 at the Florida State All-Conference Showdown in Tallahassee.
