MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee is set to take on three instate opponents this weekend in Knoxville as part of the Tri-Star Classic.
All three games will be played at Lindsey Nelson Stadium after the original site (Smokies Stadium) was deemed unplayable.

Series: Middle Tennessee leads Memphis 47-43-0

The Blue Raiders currently hold a 4-game winning streak against Memphis. The Blue Raiders swept the Tigers last season in a 2-game series in Memphis.

Senior Jake Wyrick will get his 3^rd start of the season on Friday. Wyrick looks to pick up his first win on the season after having no decisions in his first two starts.
Last year, Drew Huff went 4-9 at the plate in the series against the Tigers including 2 RBI.

Series: Middle Tennessee leads East Tennessee State 4-2-0

The Blue Raiders and the Buccaneers haven't played since 2002, but Middle Tennessee won the last contest 12-3.

Right-hander Carson Lester is expected to get the start on Saturday. Lester picked up the win on opening day in relief against Western Illinois. So far this season, Lester has a 4.22 ERA in three appearances.

A clash of two different base running styles will be on display Saturday. Middle Tennessee has converted 17 of 22 stolen base attempts in their first 8 games while ETSU has just 3 on 6 attempts.

Freshman Peyton Wigginton gets his 3^rd start of the season. The lefty has a 1-1 record in his first collegiate season with opposing batters hitting just .263 from the plate.

Aaron Aucker had his best game at the plate on Tuesday grabbing three hits and 2 RBI.
