Raiders open spring in Hurricane Invitational

MIAMI, Fla. – Middle Tennessee women's golf is back in action Monday, kicking off the spring season at the Hurricane Invitational hosted by the University of Miami.
In addition to MT and host Miami, the 13-team field includes Conference USA foe FIU as well as Kentucky, Maryland, Oklahoma, Penn State, Virginia Tech, Coastal Carolina, Mercer, South Dakota State, South Florida and Barry.
The Blue Raiders are making their second appearance at the Par 72, 6,150-yard Biltmore Golf Club after finishing eighth in the 15-team field a season ago. Jenna Burris led MT in the tournament last season as a 3-over 219 placed her tied for 13th among the field of 86.
Burris recorded a team low 72.2 stroke average in four tournaments in the fall, leading the Raiders in three of four tournaments, and will tee off last for MT at 8:02 a.m. ET on Monday.
Senior Cynthia Bounleutay will go off first at 7:30 a.m. ET on the tenth tee. She will be followed by Caroline Caudill, Sophie Burks, Hanley Long and then Burris.
The Raiders will play the first 18 holes of the three-day event on Monday before returning to the course Tuesday and Wednesday to round out the 54 holes of competition.
