CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Blue Raiders finished out the Charleston Invitational on Tuesday with a final round 5-over 293, bringing them to 18-over par (293-296-293=882) to tie for third place in the field of 17 teams.

Freshman Caroline Caudill logged her second career Top 10 finish in the event, finishing tied for eighth at 1-over par (69-75-73=217) after a 1-over 73 on the final day.

Senior Cynthia Bounleutay turned in the best round of the day for Middle Tennessee, posting an even par 72 to finish in a tie for 17th at 4-over par (77-71-72=220).

Junior Hanley Long logged another strong finish as well, using a 1-over 73 on Tuesday to finish 8-over (75-76-73=224) and tied for 27th in the field of 90 golfers.

The Blue Raiders now turn their attention to the postseason with the Conference USA Championship looming on April 16-18 in Fort Myers, Fla.

NOTABLES

Freshman Caroline Caudill's 1-over 217 and senior Cynthia Bounleutay's 4-over 220 were their best 54-hole totals of the season
Bounleutay's even par 72 was her third round of par or better this season and second consecutive after a 1-under 71 in round two
Middle Tennessee finished second in the field of 17 teams in total birdies (39), led by Caudill's 13 which were most in the field of 90 golfers
Caudill also led the field in Par 4 scoring (-4, 3.83) while Bounleutay and Jenna Burris were tied for 10th in Par 5 scoring (-2, 4.87)
Bounleutay was also tied for 14^th in the field in Par 3 scoring (+1, 3.07) and tied for third in the field in total pars (41)
