MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee men's tennis team was named an ITA All-Academic Team while an impressive ten Blue Raiders were named Scholar-Athletes, the ITA announced Thursday.

The ITA All-Academic Team award is awarded to any program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity letter winners are factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year (fall 2018 and spring 2019). This is the eighth time in the last nine years the Blue Raiders have been awarded the ITA All-Academic Team award.
On the court this past spring, Middle Tennessee secured the first C-USA title in program history since joining the league in 2014. The team hosted the Conference USA championship in Murfreesboro, defeating the No. 1 seed Florida Atlantic in a come-from-behind 4-3 victory. The Blue Raiders advanced to the first round of the NCAA tournament before falling to NC State.
