Andrea Caligiana announced as Men's Tennis Assistant Coach

Caligiana graduated from Wichita State in 2019
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee men's tennis program has added Andrea Caligiana as an assistant coach announced Monday by head coach Jimmy Borendame.
"I am thrilled to be joining the Blue Raider family," said Andrea Caligiana. "I was fortunate enough to face MTSU a few times in my time at Wichita State and when I played at the Adams Tennis Complex. I was really impressed from what a great environment it was and how many fans would come to the matches. I am excited to be part of a team with such a winning history and a great team culture. I am so thankful to coach Jimmy (Borendame) for taking me on board and I cannot wait to get started working with the guys."
A Perugia, Italy, native, Caligiana finished up his senior year at Wichita State in 2019. In his three seasons with the Shockers, he finished with a 22-19 singles record and 23-25 in doubles record overall. In his most recent season, Caligiana finished his senior season he compiled a 3-4 record in singles and 6-11 in doubles play.
Andrea graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in Sport Management, earning Summa Cum Laude.
"I'm excited to work with Coach Cali," said head coach Jimmy Borendame. "He brings a great attitude and work ethic. Im looking forward to working side by side with him to help develop the program to another level."
