Blue Raiders Fall to No. 3 Ohio State to open ITA Kickoff Weekend

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Middle Tennessee men's tennis team fell 4-0 to the host No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes in its opening match at the ITA Kickoff Weekend, Friday morning at Ty Tucker Tennis Center.
Ohio State (1-0) claimed 10 of 11 total sets in the match on its way to victory. Middle Tennessee (1-1) drops its first match of the season.
Middle Tennessee's Pavel Motl, who had 11 spring singles victories last season, was the lone Raider to win a set 6-2 in the first. The Prstice, Czech Republic native battled against the Buckeye Justin Boulais but the match went unfinished when OSU clinched.
In doubles, Motl and Stijn Slump led Ohio State's No. 37 duo James Trotter and Boulais but was left unfinished.

Middle Tennessee will play in the consolation match Saturday 5:30 p.m. facing the losers of No. 22 Virginia and Iowa being played at 1 p.m.
