MT and Memphis Set for Weekend Series

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Middle Tennessee baseball team will travel to Memphis for a four-game weekend series against the Tigers. The Blue Raiders are coming off a 4-2 victory over Austin Peay, in which they hit three solo home runs in the first three innings. MT looks to stay hot against their second instate rival of the season in Memphis. First pitch on Friday has been moved up to 4 p.m.

About the Blue Raiders
» Middle Tennessee is coming off a midweek win against Austin Peay. JT Mabry, Hunter Sullivan, and Jake Hagenow all homered and helped push the Raiders past the Govs, 4-2.
» MT ranks third in the country behind Long Island University and Southern Miss in strikeout-to-walk ratio. The Blue Raiders have struck out 163 batters and have only walked 31 in 132 innings pitched. Aaron Brown leads the team and is No. 4 in the NCAA with 37 punch outs this season.
» Right-handed pitcher Zach Keenan has not allowed a walk in 23.2 innings pitched this season. Keenan is one of only 10 pitchers in the country to not allow a free pass (in at least 10 innings pitched) and currently holds the longest consecutive innings streak without doing so.
» Keenan also sports one of the lowest earned run averages in the nation. His .38 ERA is good enough for No. 23 and the only earned run the junior has given up this season was a solo home run at South Alabama on March 7th.
